User Data Deletion
Effective date: August 25, 2026
This page explains how you can request deletion of information associated with your interactions with Selvora, including interactions through our website and through Instagram messaging.
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your information, contact us using our existing contact method:
- Email: info@selvora.ca
- Website: selvora.ca
Please include enough information for us to reasonably identify the interaction or account associated with your request — for example, the name, email, phone number, or Instagram username used when you contacted us, and an approximate date.
Please do not send passwords, access tokens, or other sensitive authentication credentials in your request. We will never ask you for these, and we do not need them to process a deletion request.
Instagram and Meta Data
If you communicated with Selvora through Instagram, you may request deletion of data retained by Selvora relating to that interaction, subject to legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping requirements.
It is important to distinguish between the two systems involved:
- Data controlled by Selvora — information we have retained as a result of your conversation with our Instagram business account (for example, message content or contact details you provided).
- Data independently controlled by Meta/Instagram — information Meta and Instagram retain under their own systems and policies, which Selvora does not control and cannot delete on your behalf.
Deleting data from Selvora's systems does not delete information Meta or Instagram independently retain. To manage that data, please use Instagram's or Meta's own privacy and account controls, or visit facebook.com/privacy/policy.
What Happens After a Request
At a high level, deletion requests are handled as follows:
- The request is received.
- We may reasonably verify the identity or account association tied to the request.
- We identify the relevant records that Selvora controls.
- Eligible data is deleted or anonymized, subject to any legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping requirements.
- Confirmation may be provided once the request has been processed.
We aim to handle requests within a reasonable timeframe. We do not currently commit to a fixed number of days, as this may vary depending on the nature of the request.
Related Policies
For more information about how we handle information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
